Property
Owners

Individual property owners who wish to remodel, expand, or replace their homes or businesses which were built at least 50 years ago and have not been previously evaluated require a historic resources evaluation prior to obtaining a building or demolition permit.

Architects and Developers

Land Use
Attorneys

Attorneys whose clients wish to alter or demolish an existing building that is at least 50 years old and has not been previously evaluated require any number of legally defensible preservation products to help determine the time and expense of proceeding with a development project that may affect historic resources.

Municipalities and Districts

Charged with enforcing the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), cities, counties, and public use districts require various professional preservation services to help identify historic resources which may be affected by a proposed project, and identify mitigation measures to reduce or avoid significant impacts.
